![]() Tammie1 Greenwood Place is local and in the town that my father is in all of his life. There's a beauty parlor, a barbershop, and weekly trips as well. ![]() There's a doctor that comes in too and does rounds. I would rate it a 5 on management, appearance, and care availability. I just have to sign the book out and give an approximate time that I'm returning. It looked manicured, but the best amenity was that I could go and come as I choose to, and take my husband out as often as I want. You could sit outside on the deck or you could sit outside in the greenery. They have a wonderful backyard that was fenced in and no way out, but there are benches, swings, and canopies that you could walk outside. The food smelled delicious and wonderful, and the dessert looked great. They were finishing up their dinner when I got there. It looked like a church center, with tables of four and it's set up in a way that everybody's served. If they're not ADA, sometimes there's a small lip into the shower, but most of them have the zero-entry, so a wheelchair could go in. They're not small., Several of them had their own bathroom, and that was a plus. They're beautifully arranged, very clean, and comfortable. ![]() They're always very courteous, always very polite, and industrious, and still, there was that hint of personal touch that each of the residents got. Some of the employees called their residents grandma, grandpa, or gram. The staff interacted very encouragingly with the residents, and everybody just really seemed to be at home. The residents were also happy, smiling, and talkative. It did not smell like a nursing home or a hospital or any other facility I've been in. Kaye Greenwood Place Retirement Community looked and smelled like home. I have an Associates in baking pastry and a Bachelors in Hospitality Management and they observe food safety practices like washing their hands, they're right on the spot with the cleanliness in the kitchen, and everything was labeled. I got there at lunchtime and they were preparing meals and I have a food background. They have music in there, and the woman was playing the piano. They have a place for people to sit out and watch the birds. They have a community vegetable garden outback. They have roll-in showers, so it's not even a walk-in. Before I even got home, they had all the answers for everything for me.Įverybody gets their own room. The minute I talked to them about getting her in there, they went out of their way. It was the best I've had at anybody I checked out. The communication above all else was phenomenal. What I liked most is their residents were very lively and upbeat. Rita My grandmother will be moving into Greenwood Place Retirement Community.
